Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all services purchased from Self Publishing LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By purchasing our services, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

  1. General Policy Statement

All services provided by Self Publishing LLC are custom, digital, and service-based. Due to the nature of our work, refunds are limited and are issued only under the conditions described in this policy.

  1. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or overrides any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable laws in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.

Where local law requires additional rights that cannot be waived, those rights will apply only to the extent required by law.

  1. When a Service Is Considered Started

A service is considered “commenced” once any of the following occurs:

  • Project onboarding or assignment
  • Consultation, planning, research, or manuscript review
  • Draft creation, design work, or publishing setup
  • Third-party account or platform configuration
  1. Refund Eligibility by Project Stage

Before Service Commencement:

If the service has not yet started and no work has been performed, the client may be eligible for a refund of amounts paid for services not yet commenced, excluding any non-refundable administrative, consultation, onboarding, or payment processing fees.

After Service Commencement but Before First Delivery:

If work has commenced but no initial deliverables have been provided, the client may be eligible for a partial, pro-rated refund. Any such refund, if approved, will be calculated based on documented work performed, time invested, resources allocated, and third-party costs incurred up to the date of the refund request. Administrative, consultation, onboarding, payment processing, and third-party fees are non-refundable.

After First Delivery, Revision, or Milestone Completion:

Once any deliverable has been provided, revisions have commenced, or a project milestone has been completed, the service is considered substantially performed and no refunds will be issued.

  1. Non-Refundable Services and Fees

The following fees and services are non-refundable under all circumstances once charged or initiated.

  • Marketing, PR, advertising, SEO, or promotional services
  • Publishing setup, distribution, and platform configuration
  • ISBN purchases, domain registration, hosting, and third-party tools
  • Government or platform fees (e.g., Amazon, IngramSpark)
  • Rush, priority, or expedited services
  • Completed consultations or strategy sessions
  1. Revisions Are the Primary Remedy

Creative services are subjective in nature. Refunds are not granted for dissatisfaction based on personal preference, taste, or opinion.

Where applicable, revisions outlined in the service agreement are the primary remedy.

  1. Client Delays and Non-Responsiveness

Refunds will not be issued if delays or non-completion result from any of the following:

  • Failure to respond within ten (10) business days
  • Failure to provide required materials, information, or approvals
  • Repeated changes to the project scope after work has begun
  • Abandonment of the project after service commencement
  • The client closing their business, changing their brand name, restructuring operations, or otherwise altering the scope, direction, or objectives of the project after service commencement
  • Refund requests based on client preference or personal circumstances, including a change of mind, personal disagreement, dissatisfaction unrelated to service performance, or the decision to pursue lower-priced alternatives

 

  1. Bundled Services

If a bundled service includes multiple components, each component is internally itemized for accounting and refund determination purposes. Refund eligibility, if any, applies only to undelivered components. Any approved refund will be pro-rated based on documented work performed for each component and will exclude non-refundable fees and completed services.

  1. Delivery and Acceptance

Deliverables are considered delivered and accepted when sent to the client’s registered email address on file or through a designated client delivery portal. Delivery is deemed complete after three documented delivery attempts made via email, regardless of client acknowledgment or response.

The client is solely responsible for ensuring that their contact information, including email address, is accurate and monitored. Failure to receive deliverables due to incorrect or inactive contact information does not affect delivery status or refund eligibility.

  1. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Clients agree to contact the Company directly to resolve billing concerns before initiating a chargeback.

Initiating a chargeback may temporarily suspend services and refund eligibility pending investigation.

Chargebacks may void refund eligibility if work has commenced.

  1. No Sales, Earnings, or Results Guarantee

The Company does not guarantee book sales, revenue, bestseller status, rankings, reviews, media coverage, return on investment, or commercial success of any kind. No service offered by the Company is sold with a sales guarantee or money-back guarantee.

  1. Refund Request Process

All refund requests must be submitted in writing within seven (7) calendar days of the original purchase date.

Clients must submit refund requests by sending an email to support@selfpublishingllc.com. Requests submitted through any other channel (including phone calls, chat messages, or social media) will not be considered valid refund requests.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. All requests are reviewed based on service commencement, delivery status, and eligibility criteria outlined in this policy.

Approved refunds, if any, are processed to the original payment method only.

  1. Intellectual Property After Refund

If a refund is issued, all completed or partially completed work remains the exclusive property of the Company and may not be used, published, or distributed by the client.

  1. Currency, Taxes, and Fees

All refunds are processed in USD.

Taxes, VAT, currency conversion fees, and payment processor fees are non-refundable.

  1. Policy Updates

The version of this Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase shall apply.

Continued use of the Company’s services constitutes acceptance of this policy.

  1. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

This Refund Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the Company is registered and operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or overrides any mandatory consumer protections that may apply under applicable laws, including but not limited to consumer protection laws in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and Canada, where such rights cannot be waived.
